Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (can be reduced to 1/2 cup if you prefer less sweet)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Butter a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  1. Mix the Ingredients:
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  • Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  1. Add the Baking Soda and Salt:
  • Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  1. Add the Sugar, Egg, and Vanilla:
  • Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  1. Add the Flour:
  • Mix in the flour until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  1. Bake the Bread:
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
  1. Cool and Serve:
  • Remove from oven and let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes.
  • Then remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
