Ingredients
- 2-3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar (can be reduced to 1/2 cup if you prefer less sweet)
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Butter a 4×8-inch loaf pan.
- Mix the Ingredients:
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Add the Baking Soda and Salt:
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the Sugar, Egg, and Vanilla:
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add the Flour:
- Mix in the flour until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
- Bake the Bread:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Remove from oven and let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes.
- Then remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
